The Merida Adelantados banked on Carlos Rivera and he turned in a masterful performance. The right-hander kept the Ciudad Acuna hitters in check. The final score was 2-0, Adelantados. Rivera yielded no runs over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 4-6.
