Nishikawa Swings Borealis to 8-2 Win
|
The Aurora Borealis knocked off the Bakersfield Bears, 8-2, at The Oaks at Aera Field. Hideki Nishikawa was a big reason Aurora won. The right fielder was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4. Dae-hyun Pak, the winner, improved to 1-0. He held the Bears to no runs on 2 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1. With the win, Aurora boosts its record to 3-2.
Nishikawa got the Borealis off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Nishikawa.
