Tony Hernández had a big hand in the 6-2 Zapopan triumph over Guadalajara. He rattled off 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scoring 2 times and knocking in 2 runs. Alberto Guerra picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-4 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 5.2 innings, while yielding 2 runs. Jesús Mireles, who is a two-time All-Star, earned the save for Zapopan.

With Zapopan leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Hernández hit a 2-run single off Guadalajara hurler Juan López. It was the 41st hit of the season for Hernández and put his team ahead, 3-0.
