Mariachis Suffer 2-0 Road Loss

The home team gave the crowd at Vampiros Ballpark something to cheer about.
El Ray Vampiros starter Santiago Benítez led his team to victory over the Ciudad Acuna Mariachis, 2-0. The left-hander was locked-in. Félix López earned the save, his 6th.
The Vampiros got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ernesto López. For the game, López went 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 21st double of the season gave El Ray a 1-0 lead.
"Santiago was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said El Ray manager Ángel Alvarado.
With the victory, the Vampiros upped their record to 24-19.
