Mariachis Suffer One-Run Loss at El Ray
|
The El Ray Vampiros picked up a win at Vampiros Ballpark, dropping the Ciudad Acuna Mariachis, 3-2. Manuel Guerrero, who is tied for 4th in the ABSF-MEX AAA in wins with 5, was the difference-maker. Guerrero, the winner, moves to 5-4. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 1 walk. With the win, El Ray upped its record to 23-19.
Carlos Castro helped out the El Ray cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman drew 1 walk.
"Manuel is tough when he's hitting his spots," said El Ray manager Ángel Alvarado.
