The Zapopan Torrenas earned a close win over the Leon Zapateros, thanks in part to Alberto Guerra. The Zapopan right-hander, who is tied for 8th in the ABSF-MEX AAA in innings pitched with 53.0, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Jesús Mireles sewed up the save, his 11th. Zapopan is now 22-19, Leon 28-13.

Zapopan used a well-timed hit by Juan Orozco to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Torrenas ahead, 3-2. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Guerra. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
