The Zapopan Torrenas downed the Leon Zapateros, 9-3, at Ballpark of León. Ángel Rivera led the way, going 1-for-1 for Zapopan. Zapopan's record now stands at 21-18, placing them third in the Zona Norte.

Raúl Rangel had a big 2-run home run for the Torrenas in the top of the third inning. With Zapopan leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a circle change from Sergio Gonzáles and swatted a home run to center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Torrenas ahead, 4-0.

"Our offense was purring," said Zapopan manager Todd Burns. "Like a well-oiled machine."
