Ghosts Snatch 6-4 Win from Akira
The Niihama-shi Ghosts defeated the Neo-Tokyo Akira, 6-4, in 13 innings in Sovereign League action at Oikake Maze. Niihama-shi pitcher Connor Leith had a standout performance. The win puts the Ghosts at 77-59, while the Akira drop to 56-81.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Carlos Garza in the bottom of the 13th. That's when he hit a 2-run home run off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Manny Alonso to win it for Niihama-shi and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"We didn't go down without a fight," said Neo-Tokyo manager David Bell.
