Cambridge and Ciefuegos got after it at Rascals Stadium.
The Cambridge Light Blues went home winners at Rascals Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Steven Morgan. Morgan stifled the Ciefuegos Peloteros, enabling Cambridge to grab the 6-1 win. Morgan yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 3, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0.
Cambridge used a clutch at-bat from Sean Lanfear to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Light Blues ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Steven had good arm action, good stuff," said Cambridge manager Scott Simpson.
This win makes it 5 in a row for Cambridge.
