The Instituto Politecnico Nacional Mules picked up a win at Goths Ballpark, knocking off the Windsor Canada Goths, 1-0. On the mound for Instituto Politecnico Nacional was left-hander Armando Guerra. He played a key role in the triumph. Vicente Rivas closed it out for his 2nd save. By defeating Windsor Canada, the last-place Mules improved to 5-8.

Instituto Politecnico Nacional used a well-timed hit by José Torres to capture the win. The center fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Mules ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Ah, the sweet taste of victory," Guerra crowed after the game.
