University of Sydney and Chuo University put this game in the books despite some rain.
University of Sydney designated hitter Chris Harrison played a vital role in his team's 6-4 conquest of Chuo University. He went 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for University of Sydney. Tommy Slater, now 2-3, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. The save was credited to Robinson Rojas, his 12th.
Harrison had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Tsuneyo Ono, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Wallabies a 5-4 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Harrison.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Harrison told the University of Sydney Daily News.
The Wallabies sit in second place in the Pacific League Down Under Division with a record of 26-21.
