Crocs Capture Close Win

The Outback State University Crocs, despite a fine performance by Meiji University pitcher Oniji Sato, grabbed a 3-2 win at Karasuyama College Grounds. Sato allowed 1 run over 6.2 innings. Meiji University's current losing streak has reached 12 games.
Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 21-year old left fielder Mo Rong had a real shot to win the game. Meiji University pitcher Tokuma Nakayama was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Rong hit a run-scoring single. The Crocs had a walk-off triumph.
"No one likes losing," said Meiji University manager Yong-sup Chong. "We've hit a tough patch, but we're going to get through it."
