Win Goes to Bishops in Tight Contest

Kunihiko Okamoto, who is tied for 9th in the PL in strikeouts with 37, had a strong outing for the Rikkyo University Bishops against the University of Sydney Wallabies at Field of the Angels. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 1-0 win. The win was credited to Ryoma Kato in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Robinson Rojas took the loss. Rikkyo University bumps their record to 23-22 with the win.
Rikkyo University got a knockout punch from Taro Maeda. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
Maeda attributed the win to his team's "tenacity."
