The Taiwan Tech University Typhoon picked up a win at Field of the Angels, topping the Rikkyo University Bishops, 4-2. On the mound for Taiwan Tech University was left-hander Gu Nie. He played a principal role in the triumph. Liu-chun Du was credited with the save for Taiwan Tech University, his 14th of the season. The first-place Typhoon now have a win-loss record of 28-11.

Taiwan Tech University used a well-timed hit by Lang Zhào to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Typhoon ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Nie told the Taiwan Tech University Observer.
