Wallabies Take Down Unicorns, 5-4
|
Ballpark of Katsuura College was the site of an exciting ballgame between the University of Sydney Wallabies and Keio University Unicorns.
Yoritoki Kobayashi had a good game, but he could not keep the Keio University Unicorns from falling, 5-4, to the University of Sydney Wallabies at Ballpark of Katsuura College. The Keio University right fielder went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 in the loss. Robinson Rojas earned the save, his 9th.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Kane Tindale came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Keio University pitcher Hirotada Amano, he hit a first pitch circle change for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting University of Sydney on top, 5-4.
"You've got to ride the highs and the lows in baseball in order to succeed," Tindale told the University of Sydney Daily News. "Right now I'm feeling good, but that don't mean squat for tomorrow."
The 'W' lifts University of Sydney's record to 21-16.
