Yamamoto Electric in Palm Springs Win
|
The Palm Springs Codgers defeated the Shin Seiki Evas, 10-1, in Sovereign League action at Genesis Park. Palm Springs pitcher Takashi Yamamoto had a standout performance. The Codgers are now 71-61, while the Evas fall to 79-53.
Yamamoto pitched a complete game for Palm Springs. The right-hander, who calls Kumamoto, Japan, his home, racked up 13 Ks, while allowing just 3 hits. Evas hitters could not touch his slider -- nor any other pitch, for that matter.
"Takashi was in charge the entire game," said Palm Springs manager Bob Sullivan.
