Taiwan Tech University Typhoon pitcher Cheng-en Zhi was in top form, leading his team past the Hosei University Avocat, 6-0. Zhi yielded no runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 6. His record improves to 3-1. The Typhoon, at 20-8, sit in first place in the Pacific League Supreme Division.
Kelsey Drew, who is tied for 8th in the PL in bases on balls with 14, helped out the Taiwan Tech University cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring ground out. For the game, the left fielder drew 1 walk.
