Koalas Handed 2-1 Loss by University of Sydney
|
The University of Sydney Wallabies knocked off the University of Queensland Koalas, 2-1, in Pacific League action at Ballpark of Queensland. University of Sydney pitcher and Wollongong, Australia, native Sean Goddard had an outstanding performance. By defeating University of Queensland, the first-place Wallabies improved to 16-9.
Sebastian Burrows, who is tied for 8th in the PL in stolen bases with 2, helped out the University of Sydney cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the center fielder went 1-4 with a triple.
"We scored more than enough runs this time," said University of Sydney manager Ken McLaren. "Now watch. The next game we'll probably struggle to get a base hit."
