Qing Shines in 6-1 Aurora Win
|
The Aurora Borealis stifled the Reno Zephyrs, 6-1, at Northern Lights Park. Lan-quing Qing, who is a two-time All-Leather Award winner, had his hitting cap on. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Aurora. Aurora is now 83-49, 7 games up in the Sovereign League Desert Hills.
There was more than one reason the Borealis beat the Zephyrs, but Qing's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run single.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Qing.
