Mesa has 3 hits to Power Shisa Offense
|
The Okinawa Shisa licked the Shin Seiki Evas, 6-2. Tony Mesa deserved a big chunk of the credit. The left fielder was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Shisa. Okinawa, at 32-24, holds down third place in the Sovereign League Rising Sun.
Okinawa grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Mesa hit a grand slam home run off Lee Barraclough. His 15th home run of the season put the Shisa out in front, 6-2.
"I think we did a good job of looking for pitches we wanted to hit and put good swings on them," said Okinawa skipper Yoriyoshi Tanaka.
