The Meiji University Troika knocked off the Chuo University Fire, 4-3, in Pacific League action at Iguanas Ballpark. Meiji University pitcher and Honjo, Japan, native Yoshitaka Matsuda had an outstanding performance. Meiji University pitcher Yoshino Sekine got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Koryusai Abe got the loss. Tokuma Nakayama earned his 4th save, after closing out the game.

Naosuke Kokawa, who is tied for 10th in the PL in stolen bases with 1, helped out the Meiji University cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the shortstop was 2-5 with a double.

After the game, Meiji University manager Yong-sup Chong applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.

Meiji University goes to 7-12, Chuo University to 9-10.
