Loggers Win with Late Heroics
The Tacoma Loggers outlasted the Long Beach Oilers, 7-5, in 10 innings. Tacoma designated hitter Allen Knox stood out with his performance. He went 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Tacoma, at 35-18, occupies first place in the Humboldt.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Knox hit a fastball from Matsuyo Sugiyama for a 2-run home run. The Loggers, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Knox.
