With 8-4 Win, Deltas Improve to 22-18
Behind a fine performance from Trent Lester, the Sacramento Deltas knocked off the Portland Chinook, 8-4. Lester went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Deltas. Chris Puddifoot, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-4. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. With the win, the Deltas have a record of 22-18.

Yong-hyun Sang had a big solo home run for the Deltas in the bottom of the third inning. With Sacramento leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he got a fastball from Ricardo Rico and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 6th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Deltas ahead, 2-0.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Sang said.
