Lodoss Wins, 10-4, Behind 2 Martínez Home Runs

The game between Lodoss and Gatineau is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Lodoss Spell Swords defeated the Gatineau Balloonists, 10-4. Third Baseman Jesús Martínez deserved a large share of the credit. Martínez hit 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice for the Spell Swords. Rodrigo Castro, now 4-5, was credited with the win in 3.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 5 and walking 1.
Martínez contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Lodoss in the top of the third. With his team trailing 4-1, Martínez took a curveball from Marcos Gutiérrez and stroked the home run to left. His 20th home run of the season allowed the Spell Swords to leap in front, 5-4.
Martínez told a Lodoss Observer reporter that he was "very pleased" with the win.
At 31-42, the Spell Swords claim last place in the Pacific Alliance Cherry Blossom.
