Mark MacDonald made an impact in the 3-2 Sherwood Park win over Quebec City. MacDonald went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. Sherwood Park reliever Hideyori Takano got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Edmund Becker was tagged with the loss. The Hoods now have a record of 41-31.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, MacDonald hit a sinker from Chris Peoples for a run-scoring single. The Hoods, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

MacDonald told a Sherwood Park Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
