Medicine Hat Rallies for 5-1 Victory
Brampton got a valiant performance from pitcher Harald Lamper, but it wasn't enough to beat the Medicine Hat Drillers. Medicine Hat won the game, 5-1. Lamper threw 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Medicine Hat reliever Ieyoshi Kiyomizu picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Bayissa Chipita was saddled with the loss. The 4th-place Drillers have won 4 straight games.

Medicine Hat used the timely hitting of Éric Flament to seize the win. The catcher stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Drillers on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Flament.
