The Medicine Hat Drillers knocked off the Brampton Camels, 5-4, in Pacific Alliance action at Ballpark of Brampton. Medicine Hat pitcher and Sint Anthonis, The Netherlands, native Ira Schumacher had an outstanding performance. The 4th-place Drillers own a record of 23-43.

It could have been a different outcome for Medicine Hat, had it not been for Ángel Noriega, the 26-year old third baseman . Noriega contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fifth inning to put Medicine Hat up, 4-1.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Noriega.
