Paparelli Rips 2 Home Runs in 5-2 Balloonists Triumph
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Gatineau Balloonists and Medicine Hat Drillers.

The 4-hit performance of Leopoldo Paparelli, who is tied for 2nd in the PCAL in runs scored with 41, helped the Gatineau Balloonists beat the Medicine Hat Drillers, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Marcos Segura. His record now stands at 8-2. The right-hander went 6.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 3 hits for the Balloonists. Picking up his 20th save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Diego Gómez.

With Gatineau leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Paparelli hit a slider from Luther González for a 2-run home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Balloonists ahead, 3-0.

"We did enough to win," said Paparelli.

The Balloonists now own a record of 39-24.
