Kumamoto Dealt 5-3 Defeat

The Lodoss Spell Swords knocked off the Kumamoto Mothra, 5-3, in Pacific Alliance action at Ibaraki Grounds. Lodoss pitcher and Tokorozawa, Japan, native Kosaku Ojima had an outstanding performance. Ojima yielded 2 runs over 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-4. Kyung-tae Sim, credited with the save, is now 1 for 1 in save opportunities.
Ryo Kouda had a big 2-run home run for the Spell Swords in the top of the second inning. With Lodoss leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Iván Enríquez and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Spell Swords on top, 3-0.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Ojima told the Lodoss Observer.
The Spell Swords improved their record to 23-39 by beating Kumamoto.
