4-3 Loss Extends Neo-Tokyo Skid
|
The 2042 season is getting uglier for Neo-Tokyo.
The Niihama-shi Ghosts dealt the Neo-Tokyo Akira a 4-3 loss at Neo-Tokyo Grounds. Pablo Garza, who finished 5th in the SL in slugging percentage with .567 in 2036, was the star on offense. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Dave López earned the win to go to 4-2. He allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 1 walk and 4 strikeouts in 5.1 innings of work.
Hyo-sang Park, who is tied for 8th in the SL in doubles with 13, had a direct impact on the outcome. Park contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put Niihama-shi up, 3-0.
"Shoot," said losing manager David Bell, "I thought we might win one."
Neo-Tokyo is in the throes of a losing streak which has reached 9 games.
