Akira Knock Off Evas at Neo-Tokyo Grounds
|
Not everyone stuck through the 16-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
Sadaharu Harada left his imprint on the 8-6 Neo-Tokyo win against the Shin Seiki Evas. Harada, who finished 5th in the IL in triples with 10 in 2039, went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The save was credited to P.J. Henry, his 14th.
Duane Funnell, the Neo-Tokyo center fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 4-2, Akira. For the game, Funnell went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.
"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Neo-Tokyo skipper David Bell.
The setback makes Shin Seiki 78-50.
