Farstriders Lose, 6-4, as Thoroughbreds Rally
|
The Florida Farstriders got a sterling performance from pitcher Hen-to Tse, but the Kentucky Thoroughbreds still prevailed, 6-4. Tse threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Mike Travis recorded the save for Kentucky, his 23rd of the season. Kentucky is now 59-67, while Florida is 89-36.
Kentucky used the timely hitting of José Cruz to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Thoroughbreds on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"It was a solid team effort," said Cruz after the game.
