Ricardo Encarnación, who led the ABSF-MEX AAA in ERA with 2.19 in 2039, was locked in. The right-hander led the Acapulco Zambullidores del Acantilado to a 6-2 win against the Ciudad Acuna Mariachis at Mariachis Ballpark. The winner was Encarnación. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Miguel Reyes. Acapulco currently is in first place in the Zona Sur at 20-13.
Acapulco relied on the hitting of Marcos Ortíz to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the fourth inning to put the Zambullidores del Acantilado on top, 3-0. For the game, Ortíz had 1 triple and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
