The Zapopan Torrenas converted a terrific effort from starter Roberto Villa into a win over the Ciudad Juarez Velas at Velas Ballpark. The Torrenas won the game by a final score of 7-1. In 7 innings, Villa surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. With the win, Zapopan goes to 13-14, while the Velas fall to 15-12.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Ramiro López? The Zapopan center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put the Torrenas on top, 2-1. For the game, López had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
