Chivas Rayadas Deal Merida 6-1 Defeat
|
Juan López imposed his will on the Adelantados from the get-go. Relying mainly on his curveball, the left-hander spearheaded the 6-1 Guadalajara triumph. Félix Germán nailed down the save. The 4th-place Chivas Rayadas lifted their record to 12-14.
Guadalajara used the clutch hitting of Pedro Gallegos to snag the win. The second baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Chivas Rayadas ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
Gallegos said his team "played with focus."
