The Guadalajara Chivas Rayadas topped the Merida Adelantados, 6-4, in Alianza Beisbol Al Sur de la Frontera action at Adelantados Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Guadalajara pitcher and Mexico City, Mexico, native Ismael Ramos. César Rufemer earned the save for Guadalajara, his 1st of the year. Guadalajara, at 11-14, sits in 6th place in the Zona Norte.

With the bases empty and no one out in the top of the seventh inning, catcher Manuel Molina delivered big for the Chivas Rayadas. Guadalajara was trailing 3-2 when he belted a solo home run.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Ramos.
