A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Guadalupe Frijoles de Dios and El Ray Vampiros.

Lorenzo Ortíz had a big hand in the 8-4 Guadalupe triumph over El Ray. He rattled off 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scoring 2 times and knocking in 2 runs. Guadalupe reliever Sergio Ochoa got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Arturo Luna was tagged with the loss.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Ortíz hit a 2-run single off Arturo Luna. It propelled the Frijoles de Dios into the lead, 5-3.

"The most important thing is that we won," Ortíz said.

With the win, Guadalupe improves its record to 10-11.
