Chivas Rayadas Post 3-1 Win
|
Guadalajara starter José Torres pitched well against the Merida Adelantados at Ballpark of Guadalajara. The right-hander led his team to a win, 3-1. Raúl Reyes closed the door for Guadalajara, picking up his 4th save of the year. The Adelantados are now 7-12 this season.
The Adelantados had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Chivas Rayadas going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old first baseman Miguel Morán came to the plate. Morán hit a solo home run on a first pitch circle change from Merida hurler Francisco Pérez. It was Morán's 3rd home run of the year.
"José's done it for so many years, it doesn't surprise me when he goes out there and carves like he did," said Guadalajara manager Cisco Borges.
