Jardineros Get 6-3 Win Versus Ciudad Acuna
|
The San Luis Potosi Jardineros trumped the Ciudad Acuna Mariachis, 6-3, at San Luis Potosí Grounds. San Luis Potosi catcher Miguel Ramírez was terrific. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Ramón Torres got the win, improving to 2-1. He held the Mariachis to 3 runs on 5 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 4. The save was credited to Ángel Martínez, his 7th.
Chipping in for San Luis Potosi was pinch hitter Orlando Rodríguez. He stroked a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Rodríguez was 1-1. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
