Progresivos Suffer 3-2 Loss to Adelantados
|
In a tight tilt between the Merida Adelantados and the Tlalnepantla de Baz Progresivos, Gabriel Hernández was the deciding factor. The Merida right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Ramón Días got credit for the save for Merida. It was his 3rd of the year. The Progresivos, now 5-12, continue their inauspicious start.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Adelantados had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when left fielder Robinson Sánchez hit a 2-run single. The single came off Tomás Figueroa and made the score 3-1, Adelantados. Sánchez was 1-3, while adding 2 RBI.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Hernández told the Merida Bulletin.
