Leon Stays Hot with 3-2 Win

The Leon Zapateros called upon starter Diego Quiñones, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the San Luis Potosi Jardineros, 3-2. The winning pitcher was Quiñones, now 3-1. He tossed 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. Mario Macías wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Zapateros had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when third baseman Israel Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single. The single came off José Martínez and made the score 3-2, Zapateros. Rodríguez was 1-3.
"I love playing this game, so you'll never see me not want to go out there and pitch," said Quiñones.
At 13-3, the 2042 Zapateros have been excellent so far.
