Gómez goes 3-for-3 to Ignite Cafe Tacvbas Offense
The Naucalpan Cafe Tacvbas beat the Hermosillo Sols, 5-1, at Café Tacvbas Ballpark. The win was due in part to right fielder Alberto Gómez, who went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Naucalpan pitcher Jesús Rosales got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Héctor Bravo got the loss. The Sols fall to 7-8 and continue their wobbly start to the 2042 season.

Naucalpan second baseman Fernando Mejía contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Cafe Tacvbas ahead, 2-0.

Mejía expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
