Hermosillo Sols starter Francisco Aguilar pitched a strong game against the Ciudad Juarez Velas at Velas Ballpark, leading the Sols to victory, 2-0. Aguilar, now 2-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Salvador Heredia was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save.
It could have been a different outcome for Hermosillo, had it not been for António Durán, the 28-year old shortstop . Durán contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Hermosillo up, 1-0.
"Winning is the only objective," said Durán after the game.
The win takes Hermosillo to 7-7.
