Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Calzones of Laredo
In a low-scoring game between the San Antonio Calzones of Laredo and the West Virginia Alleghenies, pitcher Shan-tang Chou was the difference-maker. The San Antonio left-hander was tough as nails in the 11 inning, 2-1 Calzones of Laredo win. Reliever Jonathan Andrews picked up the win. His record improves to 6-4. José Salas took the loss. San Antonio is in second place in the Imperial League Dixie with a record of 69-56.

Juan Ramos, who is a two-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ramos contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 11th inning to put San Antonio up, 2-1.

Chou told reporters after the game: "Runs were scarce, so we had to work hard to get the W."
