Loggers Triumphant, 7-3, at Devils Ballpark
The Sacramento Deltas got a superb performance from third baseman Johnny McDaniel, but the Tacoma Loggers still won the game, 7-3. McDaniel went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Germán Godina. He's now 5-0. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits for the Loggers. The Loggers have hit the ground running, raising their record to 20-9. While it's still too soon to talk about Tacoma hoisting their 2nd Round 3 trophy, fans are getting excited about their strong start.

Tacoma used a clutch at-bat from Giampaolo Eremitani to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Loggers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Tacoma manager Luke Hall.
