Zephyrs Beat Akira, 2-0, Behind Berridge
|
Reno took on Neo-Tokyo in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. James Berridge, in particular, was fantastic. The Reno right-hander helped his team snag the win, 2-0. Reno is now 26-22, while Neo-Tokyo is 19-32.
Berridge, who dominated for Reno, earned the victory to move to 5-3. He was in control the whole game, scattering 2 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 7. Neo-Tokyo batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"All in all, I thought James pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Reno manager António Morales.
