The Kochi HS Shogun took Hsinchu HS pitcher Fei Hsing's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Shogun Park. The final score had Kochi HS getting past the Shock, 2-1. Hsing went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 7. Kochi HS reliever Josuke Kato was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Juan Salinas took the loss. Kochi HS is second in the Pacific Conference Nihon Division with a record of 10-3.
Hideyoshi Suzuki was the walk-off hero for Kochi HS. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Shogun center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
