The Waseda Bear trumped the Keio University Unicorns, 5-3, at Ballpark of Sasebo College. Waseda left fielder Tekkan Matsumoto was terrific. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Waseda is last in the Pacific League Tokyo Big6 Division with a record of 2-11.

Matsumoto had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 slider from Hirotada Amano, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Bear a 5-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Matsumoto.

"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Matsumoto told the Waseda Daily News.
