Big Day for Maeda in 5-4 Bishops Win
|
Rikkyo University beat University of Sydney at Sydney Cricket Grounds, eking out a 5-4 win. The win was due in large part to center fielder Taro Maeda. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Ryozo Takeda recorded his 1st save for Rikkyo University. The win puts Rikkyo University at 2-3.
Maeda had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Bishops went on to win.
"We did a lot of good things tonight," said Rikkyo University manager Xiong Ci.
