Bishops Handed 6-5 Loss by University of Sydney
|
Getting offensive support from Kane Tindale, the University of Sydney Wallabies topped the Rikkyo University Bishops, 6-5. Tindale was 3 for 4 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Wallabies. University of Sydney reliever Nathan Parker picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Takuji Hirano was saddled with the loss. Robinson Rojas collected save number 2.
Tindale had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Hirotsugu Tsuji, he banged a run-scoring double to center, giving the Wallabies a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd double of the year for Tindale.
"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Tindale told the University of Sydney Daily News.
The win puts University of Sydney at 2-2.
